Cheri Ely found herself on Ocracoke for the first time in 1992. As with most of us, one gets constantly drawn back for longer or more vacations. Cheri made it a permanent stay in 1995. For many years, Cheri was known as a stellar waitress on the island; a job which could be scheduled around raising her two children. When her best friend created Blue Heron Realty, she found a year round job with property management and a career selling real estate.
